PHOTOGRAPHY AND PHOTOSHOPPING

Img1930_burgundy.jpg

When working on photographing retail products featuring Checkpoint’s RFID anti-theft tags, I’ve found that the actual anti-theft tags photograph badly, looking dirty and ragged.

I take a simple phone photo of the tag, load it into Illustrator, and redraw the tag as vector art. That art is brought into the studio-shot of the retail product, and the anti-theft tag’s glimmers and highlights are finessed in Photoshop.

The result is a realistic but very clean representation of the tag in use on the product.
